EMIR REFIT RTS Rewrite: Reporting Updates

The EU EMIR REFIT regulatory technical standards (RTS) and implementing technical standards (ITS)were published in the Journal of the EU on 10th October 2022. We breakdown the key changes from the current EMIR reporting requirements, which need to be implemented for go-live on 29th April 2024 (18 months).

FIELD CHANGES

  • 76 x completely new fields

  • 40 x 2 of field name, details or format updated

  • 36 x 1 of field name, details or format updated

  • 21 x completely unchanged

  • 19 x 3 of Field name, details and format updated (all changed)

  • 13 x removed fields

  • Position Reporting: Both firms must agree to report at position level & matching required.
