We restate the structural anchors of EMIR Refit (RTS/ITS, ISO 20022 XML schema, business validations and guidelines), revisit the 129 to 203 field expansion, and walk through the six change severity bands grouping the 76 brand new fields and 13 removed ones. We then drill into the parts of the regime that are catching most firms out at this stage, including UPIs (ISO 4914), the new ISO 23897 UTI, Critical Data Elements, modifications to open positions and the errors and omissions notification template.
